"A Washington Wedding With Southern Charm!" That, in a nutshell, was Laura and John's July 11th wedding in the Nation's Capitol. While both are from the South (Laura from Tennessee and John from Mississippi), they decided to get married where they both currently live - Washington, DC. The historic St. John's Church, located right across from the White House, was so special to them, as they have been attending there together for the past several years. And what a great way to have family and friends celebrate with them in such an amazingly special location!
For her bridesmaids, Laura choose the Coren Moore "Tiffany Blue" color, but let her bridesmaids choose their own styles. "Almost accidentally, we ended up with a patriotic palate of red, white, and tiffany blue, inserting 'Tiffany' for the more traditional navy...I wanted a color that was fun and summery but also classic complimenting the church's historic backdrop."

"I thought the silk shantung Tiffany Blue was beautiful, and the dresses looked like something I would actually choose to buy and wear to a wedding...Sarah Kline was a dream to work with!"I love how Laura and John really had a lot of fun with their wedding theme. "We put 'A Washington Wedding With Southern Charm' on our Save-the-Dates to convey a wedding that was filled with Southern appeal and character in a patriotic, historic Washington setting. To play up the Washington theme, we put our 'campaign slogan,' 'Right for Each Other - Right for America,' on our website, cocktail napkins, welcome bags, matchbooks, paper fans, etc."

Later this week, we'll bring more from Laura and John's beautiful wedding day!
