Spring Intern Experience

My name is Grace and I am the newest intern for Coren Moore Brides and Maids. I go to Kent State University and I'm doing a semester away right here in NYC. Of course I have gone through all of the normal adjustments like taking the wrong subway, trying to find the grocery store, and learning where I am going to do laundry like everyone does at first; luckily I have settled into my apartment and my internship very nicely. I have loved weddings ever since I was little and luckily I will be at Coren Moore all spring to learn everything there is about the industry!

I have just finished my first full week here and have already experienced so much! I have seen everything from where we get our fabric cut and dresses made; to where we get the trimmings and flowers for all the beautiful gowns! This week I was given a wonderful opportunity to see where and how our fabric flowers are made. This has given me a whole new appreciation for the small details that Coren Moore thinks of with all of her gowns. These flowers have been made into hair pieces put on a belt's and some are a part of the dresses original design like the Josie! Here are some examples of the flowers below:

Learning about all of these details and actually getting to see how it happens step by step is making my passion for the wedding industry grow even stronger.
